Bridges of Hope is a Fair Trade Mission of Mt. Vernon's First United Methodist Church.  The project was launched in August 2006 and continues to grow in enthusiam and craft items offered for sale.  The items offered for sale are used to buy more items.  None of the proceeds are used to support the church budget.

The Bridges of Hope Store is within Wesley Hall of First United Methodist Church. ACCESS FROM THE PARKING LOT DIRECTLY INTO THE STORE. LOOK FOR THE BLACK RAILING, RAMP AND SIGN ABOVE THE DOOR!

We support Fair Trade because the organizations in the Fair Trade Network provide assistance to those in poor communities around the world with low interest loans, ideas and advice for safety practices in product development, and a market for their products.  This is where Bridges of Hope enters the picture.  We are happy to provide those unique gifts to the community and at the same time make a difference in the lives of the artisans.
